Places to visit in Omkareshwar

The visit that matches the name is the Jyotirlinga on Mandhata, Mamleshwar on the south bank, a Narmada ghat, and as much of the parikrama as the day allows. The trust’s FAQ lists those. Madhya Pradesh Tourism adds Siddhanath, Gauri Somnath, Kedareshwar, the Govinda Bhagavatpada caves and Ekatma Dham.

Start with the two doors

If the family can do only two things, begin at Omkareshwar, then see the Jyotirlinga and Mamleshwar. State tourism says legend treats them as one presence. Everything else is a widening of that yatra, not a replacement. The sangam, where the Narmada meets the local Kaveri, is the third name on the trust’s own short list.

Along the walk and beyond it

Govinda Bhagavatpada’s cave is tied, in the tourism account, to Adi Shankaracharya’s study. Kajal Rani Cave is mentioned at about 9 km. The tourism page mixes a heading there. This guide will not repeat a confused heading as a fact. If you go, confirm the turn locally.

Maheshwar, about 70 km, and Sailani Island, about 40 km, are state-tourism excursions. They are not inside the Omkareshwar darshan day.
